Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating hunger and building self-sufficiency in central North Carolina. As a member of the Feeding America National Network of Food Banks, the organization recovers and distributes millions of pounds of food annually to those facing food insecurity, including children, families, and seniors. Through innovative programs like BackPack Buddies, Mobile Markets, and Grocery Bags for Seniors, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle ensures access to nutritious meals for thousands every month. In addition to addressing immediate hunger needs, the organization empowers individuals through educational programs such as culinary training, gardening classes, and nutrition workshops, equipping them with skills to achieve long-term self-reliance. By collaborating with partners and volunteers, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is making strides toward creating a hunger-free community.
